Brands
We turn down four out of five brands that approach us. The ones in our catalog earned their spot by surviving 90 days of daily use, factory audits, warranty negotiation, and customer-track-record review.
Every product gets used in our facility before listing. Squatted with, deadlifted from, dropped on.
If specs don't match marketing, samples fail under load, or warranty terms are weak — they're out.
Most of our top-tier brands — Rogue, REP, Eleiko, Concept2 — have been with us since the beginning.

A retailer's integrity comes through in what they refuse to sell. We won't name names — we don't need to make enemies — but here's the kind of brand we've passed on:
- A bar maker whose 1,500-lb-rated bar bent at 405 lbs in our test facility within two months of normal use.
- A rack manufacturer whose welds had visible inclusions and gaps when we cut samples open.
- A "calibrated" plate maker whose 25kg plates ranged from 24.6 to 25.8 kg on calibrated scales.
- A bumper plate brand whose plates failed at 200 reps of dropped cleans — well within their advertised use case.
- Several brands whose customer service track record showed a pattern of slow warranty claims and missing parts on commercial orders.
If you're shopping a brand we don't carry, ask yourself why. Sometimes the answer is harmless — they might just be too small, too new, or in a niche we don't serve. Sometimes it's not. If you want a sanity check on a brand, send us an email. We'll tell you straight.
